Josh Littlejohn represents institutional investors, public pension funds and unions in securities fraud, shareholder derivative and merger suits. He also analyzes new cases for portfolio monitoring clients and plays a key role in evaluating derivative and merger cases. In addition to working on securities fraud cases against NPS Pharmaceuticals and Pharmacia Corp., Josh has litigated shareholder derivative cases involving Cintas Corporation, Force Protection, Inc. and Regions Financial Corporation and merger cases involving National Home Health Care Corp., Commerce Bancorp, The DirecTV Group, Inc. and Bankrate, Inc., among others.

Additionally, Josh works with Motley Rice's Environmental team, assisting individuals and businesses in Gulf Coast communities in their efforts to hold BP and other corporate defendants accountable for the BP oil spill. He has also handled defective pharmaceutical and medical device cases with Motley Rice’s Medical practice group, working closely with the lead lawyers in the case against Merck & Co., Inc., related to the drug Vioxx®. 

Josh began his legal career at Motley Rice in 2002 as a paralegal working on prescription drug litigation and asbestos cases in Georgia and Tennessee. He later enrolled in law school while continuing to work at Motley Rice and, in 2007, joined the firm as an attorney with the medical and securities fraud teams.

Josh is a member of the American Bar Association and South Carolina Association for Justice.
